About the neighborhood

The Marigny (pronounced mare-in-a) is a historic section of New Orleans next door to the French Quarter.  It includes Frenchmen Street known for it’s music venues and great food.  A fun neighborhood to walk through to experience the flavor of New Orleans shot-gun architecture.

There are great places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

There are also two neighborhood markets less than three blocks away.  By the way, they are all very short blocks!

Esplanade Avenue is the demarcation line between the French Quarter and the Marigny. Just across Esplanade are several very convenient dining spots.  Some even deliver.
